While above is still true, Brets need their technologies to be able to confed at all, one for each bretonnian core faction (those in the old world). With those stuff I near always could confed every faction.Īnd while a lot of ppl claim the stupid "MA hurts" myth, many other in those forums actually do it like I and with rather great succes as it seems.įinal remarks: Norsca (not in game 2 yet), Brets and WE have slightly different confederation mechanics. You want to confed? Don't make stupid diplomatic things to jeopardize your standing. The final important thing: Diplomatic standing.īe Steadfast. You don't them to have a better military. Things not to do: Gift money for relations. Offer all to see if your chances raise to moderate or even high. Things to do: Offer it as a compensation for your confederation demand. You can compensate I and II with enough money. Use it and you will have easy times getting your target to confed. With a MA and the attack settlement command you can achieve this easily. You don't want them to loose settlements or even armies, but you want those armies to take casualities. However, MA have one very important advantage and the reason why you should always have them: You can declare joint wars with a faction close to your target to weaken them. But as written above, that is not exactly the case. Ppl seem to misinterpret this behavior thinking that with a MA the AI counts your armies as theirs and thus get's stronger in terms of threat calc. Are they far away however, this will not be the case. Are they close to your targets city? Then they will count as defensive armies that will make feel your target less threatened, meaning less likely to confed. Explanation: if you are allied and have the same foes, than your armies will be included in the threat calculation of your target (in the same manner as above). The ones that claim military alliances are really bad for confederations and those that don't think so. In the forum there are 2 kinds of opinions regarding this topic. Other Example: A faction with 1 city, 2 strong armies in this city with allies and no foes? Not threatened at all. To be threatened, not only a factions military ranking is being taken into account, but also their ability to defend their settlements.Įxample: A faction with huge armies that are all overseas and cannot defend their lands from nearby foes? They are really threatened and will confed rather easily. This is the most important thing, so wall of text following to explain. II: Are they threatened? No? Then forget about confederations. Short term effect while it hurts you and helps their military, both is bad. Befriend with their friends and raid/use agents against their foes. The things that influence confed chances. But it neither is nor is it meant to be really easy, so you need to actually plan for it. It is mainly influenced by 3 and a half things, and you can increase the odds by any of those. Chance to confed is not a checklist of things that need to happen. Let me start with the first important thing. (Also because I also replied often enough in those threads repeating myself).

I will try to answer with my knowledge, but before I start I have to point out that there are many dozens of threats to this topic and I wish ppl would just try the (tbh quite crappy) search function. It would help me a lot to know this and not stumbeling around and hoping someone someday got a good moode and accept for no reasons or at least reasons i dont understand. What is needed to confederate by pressure?Īre there maybe other types i just dont know about? What are the requirements to confederate an other faction in both ways. factions without war willing to confederate even if they dont like me that much and others in war with tousends of people are like "nono we get this on our own". i looked at the factions even closer and didnt even see any parralels. So theres no "pattern" cristalizing out of this for me. sometimes factions im in war with begging kinda for peace and are also willing to be confederated and others arent. sometimes even factions wich arent even in the top 5 of factions that like me are willing while the higher ones still dont do so.Īnd on the other side around also.

Sometimes people that really like me are not willing to confederate and sometimes they do.
#Total war warhammer 2 requirements confederation how to
i also got a good feeling of understanding the diplomacy system and how to manipulate factions in my favour.īut theres still one thing i dont really understand. I played the game now for quite a while with diferent factions.
